Connecticut Collision Repair Specialists Launch Meeting Season with Industry Leaders

Connecticut Collision Repair Specialists members recently gathered to begin their 2014 – 2015 meeting season by hosting a dinner banquet in October and a general member meeting in November at the Hilton Garden Inn in Milford. Industry leader Dan Risley, President & Executive Director of Automotive Services Association (ASA) provided dinner guests with an industry update and an overview of ASA activities year to date. Larry Montanez, Collision Consultant with P & L Consultants was the keynote speaker at the November meeting.

“These two meetings are the beginning of our 2014-2015 meeting season and we we will continue to address industry issues for our members” says Lisa Siembab, CCRS Executive Director. Our focus this year will be Estimating/Production best practices, human resources, financials within the shop and aluminum repair training.”

P & L Consultant and co-owner, Larry Montanez offered members a reality check with Aluminum Repair methodology. Montanez informed attendees that there are considerabl differences in the training requirements between the 2015 F-!50 and the other aluminum vehicles. “Today’s repairer must focus on their skills at repairing steel before even considering taking on the F-!50 or any other vehice with similar material.” stated Montanez.

CCRS will also be electing their new 2015-2017 Executive Board in January.
